The Dump

On Saturday and we happily attended a crawfish boil. The Dump was very beautiful complete with corn, sausage and potatoes. Caden was a bit frightened of the uncooked crawfish...
Taking a ride with some buddies in the wagon!
Daddy enjoyed a little bit of The Dump until Charli Kate demanded his full attention! Thanks for a fun afternoon, Parks!

Traditional Irish Blessings

I wish you not a path devoid of clouds,
nor a life on a bed of roses,
not that you might ever need regret,
nor that you should never feel pain.
No, that is not my wish for you.

My wish for you is:
That you might be brave in times of trial,
when others lay crosses upon your shoulders.
When mountains must be climbed and chasms are to be crossed; when hope scarce can shine through.
That every gift GOD gave you
might grow along with you.
And let you give the gift of joy to all who care for you.
That you may always have a friend who is worth that name.
Whom you can trust, and who helps you in times of sadness.
Who will defy the storms of daily life at your side.
One more wish I have for you:
That in every hour of joy and pain you may feel GOD close to you.
This is my wish for you, and for all who care for you.
This is my hope for you, now and forever.

HLSR

"We are going to the radio," exclaimed Caden as we approched this year's Livestock Show and Rodeo!
Posing by the very cool, "Land of the Free, Because of the Brave" monument.
It must be a hemi.
Cade and Charli Kate's first pony rides!
We LOVE Miss Moo!
Chick-chicks!
Chatting over yummy Pappasito's and BBQ :)
Caden and Charlotte loved the interactive Fun on the Farm exhibit!
The kiddos had an awesome time! What a great day! Thanks for snagging these tickets G'ma!
"Bye, radio. See you again, next year!"

Happy Birthday, Lil' A!

Above, Charli is diving right into the fun of sweet Audrey's "Elmo" birthday party!
Caden loved playing with the bubble lawn mower. "You are welcome, Allisons." ;)
These cupcakes were so yummy! Shortly after finishing them, we took the picture below...
"More, please, MORE!"

"Play"

"Housework can wait, my children need kisses.
They want me to play, I'll put off the dishes.
When they're all grown, I'll keep the house spic and span...
But children grown fast, so I'll play while I can."
By Leslie Prest

Aunt Sasa and Cousin Lauren took breaks from their nursing programs to join us for fun in Houston. We had a great couple of days together and cannot wait to see them again! Love you guys!
On Friday, I was able to volunteer at Caden's school for Fun Fest. It was so much fun pretending to be community helpers working around the make-believe town and mailing letters at the make-believe post office!

4th Generation Aggies, Maybe?

Of course, the kids have a while to decide where they will attend college. But for the time being we will dress them in Aggie paraphernalia, as it is our parental right. We went to the A&M vs. Rice game at Minute Maid Stadium this weekend. Both kiddos were slightly under the weather and officially sick the next day, but we still tried to make the most of it. With the start of the game delayed and hour, we were only able to stay  for a few innings. It was also good to hang out with some of Ryan's closest buddies from A&M, Justin and his future bride Christina and Brian and his future bride Maria!

I am Soccer!

Caden began spring soccer this weekend. He had so much fun playing with Daddy! He even had a few visitors to cheer him on... Thanks for coming G'ma and Auntie Jen!

After, we grilled hamburgers at the house and G'ma joined the fun!
Charlotte brough the camera over to Daddy, sat down in his lap and said "CHEEEEEEEEESE!" So, we had to capture the moment :)

You and Me Charli

Check out this video I made during one of my late nights... It is very short but very sweet!

You and Me Charli

Spring is Here... Almost!

We took a break from some early spring cleaning projects and spent the morning at the park!
"Cheeeese!"

Birthday Fun

Happy Birthday, to our sweet friend Addi! We loved hanging out and hope to see you guys again very soon!

Touch-a-Truck

Visiting the annual Touch-a-Truck in The Woodlands is always a great time for our family!
Caden to Charlotte, "Buckle-up, Chuck!"
Charlotte, "I'm ready!"
Junior Firefighters
 Tailgater Bus!
 "Monster truck!"
 "It's an Army Jeep, Daddy."
Later that day, we attended our first baseball game. We lasted about 30 minutes. Oh well, we'll make better preparations for next time!
