Matthew 19:14

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me... " Matthew 19:14, is this year's Bible verse on the back of Caden's preschool t-shirt.  Children of The Woodlands Preschool is celebrating their 30th anniversary and we are so excited that Caden is again participating in the program.  This year he is attending two days per week.  Charlotte won't be two until October so we aren't ready to place her in the program yet.  Plus, I am so happy to have some one-on-one time with our princess!  When we dropped Caden off at his classroom this morning, Charli Kate cried and sobbed for Cade not to leave her.  Her poor little heart.  I was so sad for her!

Front Loaders and Doughnuts!

A couple of weeks ago we celebrated one of Caden's best buddies birthday.  The construction theme and decor was super cute!  What a fun morning... Happy Birthday to our buddy!

Meet Ms. Judy!

Caden's teacher, Ms. Judy, came by for a home visit today.  Caden had fun visiting with her and asking questions about this coming fall.  We are so excited for our big-little man to begin his three-year old program!

Rob Flemming

We spent our first day back with Daddy at the pool... nothing like reconnecting in hot, hot Houston at Rob Flemming in The Woodlands and a picnic by the pool!

Happy Birthday, Granddaddy!

Growing up, Dady was usually out of town for his birthday but this year we were able to be together to celebrate his birthday.  We spent a relaxing day at the house and then went to Jump Street.  It is a building with wall to wall trampolines.  So fun!

That evening I grilled fajitas for the family while the kiddos played outside.  We had dinner on the patio, same as most nights because the weather is so comfortable (seriously, one night I wore a sweatshirt because it was chilly).  Mom made Dad yummy choclate and peanut butter cupcakes (recipe from the Barefoot Contessa)! Delish!  Happy Birthday, Granddaddy!
The next morning Mom took me back to her club for a much needed spa morning.  That evening we flew home to Houston.  The kiddos had an amazing flight home and even though we REALLY missed our Daddy-bear, it was the first trip that I didn't feel completely overwhelmed to travel without Ryan.  Quite an accomplishment!

120 Hours in CO

We flew to CO for some fun with family last week.  This is how our 120 hour visit breaks down...
We went for a fun picnic in the mountains.  The kiddos love to climb rocks!

We also went to the Aquarium.  At dinner, mermaids swam next to us in the large tanks and captivated Charlotte!
On Tuesday Charli Kate came down with a tummy-bug, so we rested all day long.  That evening Aunt Samantha and her mom came over for a special visit while Uncle Lane was working.
Wednesday, we went to Mimi and Granddaddy's club and swam in one of the many pools. This was the indoor heated pool. I should have taken more pictures of this place. It it amazing!! That evening we attended Mimi's work picnic in Boulder.  After dinner, we had so much fun riding trains and go-carts, playing mini-golf and arcade games...

As long ago as I can remember, my dad would always buys us souvenier t-shirts when he would travel on his fire fighting trips.  I have a collection of fire t-shirts that could make two t-shirt quilts.  When Caden was born, he began collecting t-shirts for our kiddos.  Below is a picture of the kiddos new fire t-shirts from Granddaddy's most recent trip.

Sprinkled

A few weeks ago, I helped four very talented women hostess a parasol themed baby sprinkle for our friend Ashley and her daughter-to-be, Ellory Kate.  Somehow, I didn't snap any cute pictures of our little group... hopefully, I can get my hands on one and post it soon!
The food was delicous and we had so much fun celebrating!
