Weekend Fun

We were so happy and surprised that Ryan was able to get off work early on Friday! He was home by 4:30! Cade had so much fun hanging out with Daddy :)

Saturday was our first date in 8 and a half months. We had dinner at The Goose's Acre in The Woodlands. It was delicious and the company was fantastic! We were so excited about the special time that we were able to spend with each other. Parenting is always a priority but we were a couple before we were parents!

ZZZzzzZZZzzzzzz

Caden fell asleep against the crib! He was trying so hard to stay awake but he just couldn't fight nap time.

8 months Old

Cade is 8 months old. His new joy is dancing. He bops his body and his head in multiple directions. It is quite funny! Also, he is attracted to things he knows that he cannot get into... cords, door stops, anything sharp! We are so enjoying you, Baby Cade!

Mimmi and Granddaddy flew home today. We so enjoyed having you and cannot wait to see you again! Thanks for everything! We love you!

Dedicating Caden Ryan

On Sunday evening, we Dedicated Caden Ryan. That is to say that we participated in a ceremony where we, his parents, promise to bring Caden up according to God's teachings. We felt so blessed to have so many people share this moment with our family. Thank you for joining us and thank you for your helpful prayers while we raise our son!Auntie Jen, Aunt Cathy, Cade, Ryan,

Valentine Fun

We had a full house on Saturday. Granddaddy Pat and Mimmi Dianne (... trying on a new name) flew in from Colorado. Aunt Sandra and her friend, Peter, drove in from College Station. Cousin "Auntie" Lauren also joined us from Dallas. Needless to say, we had a ball!! Cade enjoyed opening Valentines from his family. After he fell asleep, we pulled out the fondue pot and really got creative. Hope that everyone had fun celebrating their family!

A Visit from Grandpa Dale

Last week was a very special week. Grandpa Dale visited from Washington State. The week began with Aunt Cathy's birthday celebration and ended with a family BBQ/Wii Competition. Unfortunately, Ryan was crunching numbers for most of his dad's visit. But Caden was able to bond with Grandpa, whom he hadn't seen since last June. It was a very special time for Grandpa to stay with us because Caden taught himself how to crawl, how to pull himself to a standing position, and how to wave hello/goodbye! We miss you, Grandpa Dale!
