Family Day

On Friday our family visited Caden's preschool class. We had so much fun interacting with the kiddos and learning at their level!

 We love learning about Insects!

Snack time but first a little prayer!
Thanks for such a great morning!

The Funnies

A few funny pictures with the Aunts that deserved their own post...
Caden and Aunt Sasa doing yoga. "Downward dog and then chattarunga down into..."
Never a dull moment with four dogs at the Thompson residence for a 48 period. Ryan did so well and I was so proud of him! It was QUITE an accomplishment for us, especially for those of you who know how we feel about our floors! It really was fun.
Caden and Auntie Jen playing Memory... he has such a good memory that he will point out the matches for all the players!
We picked up the tram between concorses when driving Papa and Pam to the airport. We couldn't exactly find the stairwell to our parking garage. Charlotte kept saying, "Choo-choo! Chugga-chugga!"

Hoppy Easter, Family!

The Easter Bunny came and delivered many treats and goodies! After a quick breakfast we headed to HFBC to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ.
The eggie hunt was a lot of fun. The egg-dye was melting off of the eggs and onto the kiddos hands... Mommy just about had a melt down and yes, we did pause to wipe off everyone's hands between finding each egg. At some point, Charlotte got distracted and started to collect the puppies' tennis balls instead of eggs. Caden did not know what to make of the special paper he found in one egg! So funny!
Sandra is involved in rescue program where she fosters golden retrievers until they are healthy enough to be placed with an adoptive family. We LOVE her current dog Baxter. He is so sweet and has a heartbreaking past that I cannot stomach to post for anyone to read. He is on his way to a better quality of life.
Love to all and Happy Easter!

They Call It SEA WORLD

Papa and Pam treated the family to a trip to Sea World on Good Friday. As an added bonus, Ryan was able to take the holiday from CB&I and joined in the fun!
Auntie Jen and Dalvin
A few braved The Great White roller coaster! What a fun addition!
The Shamu Show was the favorite event for everyone! What amazing creatures!
The group had a blast during the day! Ryan had plans with a good buddy of his who is getting married in a couple of weeks so he wasn't able to join us for the Riverwalk. So we said good-bye to Daddy and headed into San Antonio!
When we reached The Westin, we were pretty tired but after a shower everyone had a burst of energy. The kiddos and I ordered room service while the couples headed out for some fun on the San Antonio Riverwalk. This was the first time they had experienced room service and it was so much fun!
After sleeping in a bit the next morning, we had breakfast then went for a quick dip in the pool before a little sight-seeing.
Shortly after lunch at yummy Casa Rio, we headed home from our full day of fun! Thanks for a much needed mini-vacay!

The Week's Events

Since Papa and Pam will not be able to attend Caden's birthday at the Houston Fire Museum, we thought it would be fun to visit the firehouse early. After the tour, we had lunch at yummy Barnaby's!
Papa and Pam took Caden and Charlotte to Cade's soccer practice while I had vet appointments with our pups. They had a great time taking turns playing soccer and playing with Charli Kate. Thanks for your help!
That afternoon we headed to the mall for a bit of carousel fun and playground time sporting the kiddos new Aggie outfits from Papa and Pam.
Later in the week we went to Rudy's BBQ, a family favorite! After dinner, we dyed Easter eggies!

The Arrival

Papa and Pam arrived from WA State Sunday before last, loaded down with tons of goodies for the kiddos! They also brought the famous Alaskan King Crab and prepared it for the whole family. The visit was off to a great start with good company, good food and a little bit of t-ball in the backyard :)
Breakfast the next morning with Auntie Jen before heading to the park and Market Street.
While cooking in the back yard that night, Caden showed off the grass he'd been growing for preschool. He's say, "All you need is a little bit of water and sunshine and love."
