"It's a celebration... "

... Exclaimed our toddler! We had so much fun celebrating Mommy's birthday last weekend. I had dinner with friends on Friday. On Saturday, we had a picnic in The Woodlands and let Cade play in the fountains at The Waterway. Ryan had a arranged for me to do a bit of shopping that afternoon. After shopping we met for dinner. Ryan made me breakfast on Sunday morning. Then, after church we went over to G'ma's for dinner and cake. My sweet mother-in-law made me a yummy marbled cake with chocolate frosting. It was such a fun and special weekend!

"Happy Mommy's Day"

Ryan and Cade had practiced the phrase "Happy Mommy's Day". I will never forget how sweet his little voice sounded as we drove to pick up kolaches that morning. They had worked together to make me a darling necklace and bracelet set with alphabet beads. The bracelet bears two small C's separated by a heart and the necklace says "We love Mommy." Ryan picked out a few other sweet tokens of appreciation. I am more tired than I have ever been in my whole life but so, so happy. I have the sweetest husband. In his presence I never feel underappreciated. So precious are our children that we would have a hundred more tomorrow, if all the elements were just so. My family is my whole heart!

On Sunday, after church we spent the afternoon with G'm and Auntie Jen. The wind made the water a bit chilly but we still enjoyed the yummy poolside BBQ. It was a wonderful weekend together!

Trolley Ride

On Saturday, "Cool Shades" Caden requested a trip to The Woodlands to ride the trolley.
During the ride, Charli Kate kept looking up to give Mommy nose kisses. We ran around outside for a bit and then had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory.  We have the sweetest kids!

Crawfish '10

We attended the Old Town Spring Crawfish Boil for the first time... sad because it is practically in our backyard. We had  fun until the kiddos melted down. Oh well. We will go back again next year.
Crazy packed with people, right?!
