Peek A-Boo, Now I'm Two!

We'd been discussing Charlotte's birthday with her weeks in advance so that she would be prepared for the excitement and special spoiling.  She would say, "My birthday is coming up and that means cupcakes and cookies!"  We had a special birthday brunch between meeting family flying into the airport and running errands.  Our sweet girl woke up with a nasty nose and seemingly the beginnings of a cold.  She kind of dragged through the morning but her energy and mood picked up as the day went on!  We were thankful that it didn't interefere with her Fairy Garden Party (pics to come).
 Flowers from Daddy.
After dinner and blowing out candles on the cake, we opened presents.  Charlotte, you may not remember this birthday but there were many special moments shared.  Several family members traveled to visit you and attend your party.  You received a craft/snack table that you have shared every day since with your brother.  You immediately and lovingly placed one of your dolls in the baby swing you received.  The fairy princess costume given to you was so darling that it simply had to be worn at your party the next day!  Mommy's 30 year-old Baby Victoria had been restored and when you saw her you ran screaming excitedly, "Oh Gosh, oh gosh!"  You received and immediately favored a cake and candle serving set.  Among the many clothes given, you loved the boutique dress with the large purple flower and tulle skirt.  Purple is a favorite here! You are so sweet and so gracious.  Every word you speak is precious in sound.  You love, love us and we love you - you have truly completed our family.  We could not ask for anything more in a daughter and you will be my baby until the day, many years from now, you belong to your future husband.

"Poonkin" Fun

We spent an afternoon with the Harwells and other friends while decorating pumpkins and hanging out among good food!

 Caden did this by himself!
Charlotte had a little help from Daddy :)

In Honor of The Daddy-Bear

Along with enjoying watching the Aggies beat Tech on Saturday, Ryan's family came over for an early birthday celebration. Left, the kiddos reading a few Halloween books with Auntie Jen and Uncle Dalvin.
His mom made a delish chocolate cake for him!
On Monday, we met Ryan for a late dinner at one of his favorite restaurants.
Then, home for cake and presents!
 Birthday kisses for theDaddy-bear!
Hope that you had a great time celebrating, Love!

Boys Will Be Boys

While Mommy and Charlotte were out of town a couple of weekends ago, the boys had a great time hanging out together!  There first day together, they attended a fundraiser at CB&I but sadly they didn't get to take any pictures.
During the rest of the weekend, they watched football!
Crashed block towers!

 Dinner at Chick-Fil-A!
 Baseball in the park!
And also studied the alphabet!

The boys had such a great time together!  But we all missed each other.  The first thing that Caden did when Charlotte and Mommy returned was throw his arm around his sister and give her a sweet kiss.  They were so happy to see each other again!
